Wiki

I have to say I am a little cautious of using Wiki because of reliability concerns. Having said that however, there is some very interesting information on them and the great thing about them is that people can access info that they may otherwise not have access to.

The BookLoversWiki was quite good. This is a great idea for libraries as we can access more material and create our own version. This would give patrons access to the recommendations of others in the community.

The Montana History Wiki also was interesting, perhaps not as easy to get around.

Wookipedia was interesting in terms of subject and shows that you can make the subject of a wiki as broad or narrow as you please.

Hope you contributed to the course wiki - it's a wonderful insight into working in public libraries.
